The Full Story

The journey to become an audiobook narrator has been unconventional but enriched by a diversity of experiences from Chemistry to Business CEO to Voiceover Actor, during which I’ve had the great good fortune to live and work on 3 continents.

I have audiobooks published by Penguin Random House, Audible, Recorded Books Inc.. Titles include The Book of the Lion, The Glorious Flight, The Shakespeare Steeler, Adam of the Road, Pigs Aplenty, Pigs Galore!, Redwall. I have also been the voiceover for the MTV reality series The Girls of Hedsor Hall and have recorded numerous commercials. Born in the UK to an incredibly hard-working shopkeeper father and a driven, non-stop housekeeper mother, my sister and I were encouraged to read, read, read. We moved to North London, where I attended the local, 450-year-old, public high school, spending my most fun times in the school plays and on the rugby field. Surprising to many, especially myself, I majored in Chemistry at university but stole time to be in theater productions. After a research scholarship brought me to the US, I earned an MBA and spent 20+ years in the corporate world – biotech to dog food to personal care - with stints in the UK, Chile and back to the US. If anyone tells you acting isn’t a pre-requisite to navigate corporate politics, they either aren’t being truthful or were undone by the political scheming.

My wife has told me to confess that when I cook, I sound like a bemused Jacques Pepin, when I play tennis, I sound like an out of breath Nick Kyrgios, and when I ski, I just scream.
